Arriving from OVH, Xavier Perret joins Microsoft France to take charge of its Azure cloud computing business. This appointment is part of a consolidation of Microsoft’s business around its three major families of cloud offerings: Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365 and Azure.
Microsoft France announces the appointment of Xavier Perret as Director of Azure. The publisher has recently consolidated its offerings around its three clouds, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365 and Azure. The new recruit is responsible for developing sales of Azure cloud infrastructure and database offerings. It should do the same for artificial intelligence and cognitive services technologies, open-source solutions, IoT platforms and mixed reality offerings, including HoloLens 2. These latter activities were previously placed under the hulls of other employees of the editor and are now centralized. A graduate of the Corps des Mines and Ecole Polytechnique, Xavier Perret began his career in 1997 at France Telecom as technical director of broadcast and network services. He returned to the operator from 2002 to 2017, presiding in particular its strategy of partnerships, before taking the direction of digital and data of the professional market. At the same time, he sat on the boards of Mr. Gabriel and Carbip as a strategic advisor. Before joining Microsoft France, Xavier Perret worked at OVH as Vice President of the Commerce Division.
